1.Since 1994, our mission and vision is to provide affordable and professional dialysis services to all patients, especially those who struggle with the treatment costs. We are the 2nd largest NGO dialysis provider, with 11 centres nationwide and serving 700+ patients
Maaedicare’s Kidney Charity began operating in 1994 from a small shop lot in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, with only 7 dialysis machines serving 20 patients. From these humble beginnings, the organisation has grown significantly and now operates 11 dialysis centres nationwide, supporting more than 700 patients with the help of over a hundred dedicated medical staff.
The Foundation focuses on improving and ensuring equitable access to dialysis treatment for underprivileged patients with end-stage kidney failure. Through its dialysis centres, Maaedicare provides affordable, high-quality dialysis services to ensure continuity of life-sustaining treatment for those in need.
To support patients financially, Maaedicare offers financial assistance through its Patient Welfare Fund, which has enabled many low-income patients to continue dialysis at a manageable and affordable rate.
All centres are staffed by qualified post-basic renal nurses, with monthly reviews by visiting nephrologists and doctors to ensure optimal patient care. In addition, renal dietitian services are available to provide specialised dietary counselling tailored to the needs of dialysis patients. Patients also benefit from ongoing health monitoring, including routine health checks and blood tests.

Regular blood tests are provided at affordable rates to help monitor patients’ overall health and dialysis effectiveness.

Haemoglobin levels are closely monitored every month to reduce complications such as anaemia and fatigue.

We help keep blood-stimulating injections and iron transfusions affordable, ensuring patients receive essential treatments without financial strain.

We believe in caring for the whole person. We celebrate our patients’ birthdays, festive occasions, and personal achievements, fostering encouragement, joy, and a sense of community.

The Patient Welfare Fund (PWF) supports low-income dialysis patients by providing medical assistance, transport support, and basic necessities such as groceries. Complimentary pick-up services are available at selected locations and designated times, helping patients attend their dialysis sessions safely and consistently.
Beyond financial aid, Maaedicare fosters a caring community through monthly birthday celebrations, festive gatherings, and an annual patient outing, ensuring patients feel valued, supported, and at home.

This program was created in 2014 to commemorate Maaedicare’s 20th anniversary and to foster an environmentally responsible culture within the Foundation. Recycling programmes, energy efficiency measures, and various eco-friendly activities are implemented throughout the 12 centres to reduce our environmental impact while providing a pleasant green space for our staff.
The three environmental aspirations are to “Buy Green,” “Be Green” and “Go Green.”
