The access to and use of www.maaedicare.org which solely belongs to Maaedicare Charitable Foundation (“the Foundation”), including its subdomains, associated websites, mobile applications and extranets constitutes acceptance by you or the entity you represent of the following terms and conditions of use. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you may not access or use this website.

1. CONDITION OF USE

As a condition of use of this website, the materials and website features, the user agrees to indemnify the Foundation, its staff, officials and employees from and against any and all actions, claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses arising out of the user’s use of this website, including, without limitation, any claims alleging facts that if true would constitute a breach of terms and conditions as a user. If the user is dissatisfied with the condition of use, the user’s sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using this website.

2. THIRD PARTY CONTENT

Third party content displayed in this website may only be used subject to its owner’s consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable law, as the case may be. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall be deemed to confer any third party rights or benefits on any such content.

Certain mobile applications offered directly or indirectly by the Foundation can be downloaded from third-party “app stores” including, without limitation, iTunes and Google Play. As such, they are subject to separate terms of the respective third-party service providers. It is the user’s responsibility to check the privacy policies and terms of service and usage of all third party sites, stores and services prior to downloading or using the Foundation’s mobile applications.

3. DONATIONS

Certain site features and pages may allow site visitors to make donations in support of the Foundation and its projects and activities using a number of different means including online banking, credit cards, debit cards and other payment methods through payment gateways such as iPay88. Donations may be in the form of direct contributions to the Foundation or its charity arms –Kidney Fund and Heart Fund.
By providing information related to a payment method, the user represents, acknowledges and agrees that the user:

  • Is permitted to use that payment method;
  • Shall be solely responsible for any fee charged by the user’s financial institution or other payment method provider;
  • When the user makes a donation, the user authorizes the Foundation and its designated payment processor to collect, process and store information related to the relevant
  • payment method and other related transaction information to conduct the transaction and help better manage donors and donations;
  • Donations to the Foundation are at user’s own discretion and risk;
  • The Foundation has no liability whatsoever for any loss the user may suffer if a third party obtains unauthorised access to any information provided by the user.

Once a donation is made, please provide your details so the charity’s management can issue a tax-exempt receipt. Please note all cash donations are tax deductible only within Malaysia. If you have made a contribution and have not received a receipt, contact the fundraising team at [email protected].

4. REFUND POLICY

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organisation. However, due to the nature of charity donations, refunds are given at the discretion of charity management. Below are the only circumstances in which refunds will be made:

  • Unauthorised use of your payment card is proven. If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card, or if it is lost or stolen, you must notify your card provider in accordance with its reporting rules;
  • You made an error while making your donation through the online payment gateway;
  • Exceptional circumstances.

In such instances, please notify us within one (1) working day of your donation as we need to do the required bank reconciliation before processing your refund request. Should an error in the donation amount be detected and a request for refund made after more than (1) day, the Foundations regrets to inform that we are unable to issue a refund.

Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. For online transaction, refunds will take approximately one to two weeks while credit card transactions will take approximately one to two months.

If you wish to apply for a refund in aforementioned circumstances, or request for the cancellation of recurring payment, please submit your request by providing your full name, contact number, and slip(s) related to your donation (if applicable) to:
